Questions.
Straight answers about what Infall does and doesn't do.
How is Infall different from CleanMyMac?
CleanMyMac is a subscription (from $39.95 a year) with extras like malware scanning and duplicate finding. Infall is $8 once, after two free runs of each tool, and covers the everyday cleanup plus what developers fill their Macs with: Xcode and package-manager caches, node_modules in old projects, and leftovers from Claude Code and Codex. It also adds a live menu bar monitor, startup items and fan control. Every scan shows you what it found before anything is removed. See the comparison.
Is it safe? What does Infall delete?
Only what you select after a scan. Infall never touches your documents, photos, Keychains, iCloud Drive or Mail. Items it isn't sure about are marked Review and left unticked, and you can protect any folder in Settings.
Does it delete directly or move things to the Trash?
Caches, logs and build output — things that rebuild themselves — are deleted so the space really comes back. Anything you might want, like installers, apps and files you pick in Analyze, goes to the Trash. Turn on Always use the Trash to send everything there.
What's free and what do I pay for?
Scanning, reviewing results, Analyze, Status, the menu bar, app updates and startup items are free. Cleaning, AI cleanup, project purge, installer removal, uninstalling and optimizing each include two free runs. After that Infall is $8, once.
Can it clean what Claude Code and Codex leave behind?
Yes. The AI tab finds old Claude Code and Codex sessions, agent worktrees nobody has touched in a month, temp files, superseded CLI versions and local models from LM Studio, Hugging Face and Ollama. Project memory is never touched.
Why does it ask for Full Disk Access?
macOS hides Mail, Safari and the Trash from every app until you allow it. Without it Infall still works, but scans find less. You grant it once in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
Which Macs does it run on?
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon and Intel. Fan control only appears on Macs that have fans; on a MacBook Air you'll see temperatures instead.
How many Macs can I use it on?
Up to three with one license. You can move a license by deactivating it in Settings › License on the old Mac.
How do updates work?
Infall checks once a day and installs updates on its own. Every update is included in the price.
Does Infall send my data anywhere?
No. Scans happen on your Mac. The only network requests are the update check, the license check and, if you open Updates, version checks against Homebrew, the App Store and each app's own update feed.
